Software is like sex, it's better when it's free - Linus Torvalds

After being in Alpha status for months the Chromium Browser on Linux is now almost at a point in which all features of the Google Chrome browser are included and so it appears to be ready for Beta real soon.
At Softsaurus we've been following the Chromium project for almost a whole year by now and with every upgrade the browser seemed to leap forward. It's pretty obvious the Chromium dev team has been working their ass off to pull of this project within reasonable time.
After releasing an Alpha version of their project in May this year there have been several major improvements and it seems as if all major features of the Chrome browser have been implemented successfully therefore I can only conclude that a Beta release must be around the corner.
The browser is such a great piece of work, it loads almost instantly and it already looks so polished, even though it doesn't fit in well with KDE nor Gnome I'm sure they're working on supporting the Chrome theme engine within reasonable time, that would probably solve that issue as well.
Keep your eyes close on this project for it might just make the Karmic release this October. If they keep up this rate of development I'm sure they will, that would be great.
All and all the project seems to make great progress. Chapeau to the development team behind the project, I salute and thank you.
