Asus will market the Fold/Unfold-notebook somewhere around September or October this year. Asus recently showed off their prototype for the Fold/Unfold-notebook at the Cebit convention. According to the company's ceo the super flat and foldable notebook should cost somewhere around a 1000 to 1500 Dollars.

The Fold/Unfold is a notebook designed by French, Italian and South Korean designers and was inspired by the Japanese art of folding called 'Origami' and the MacBook Air. Asus ceo Jerry Chen said the purpose of this ultra thin notebook was to invoke the same kind of impact on the marked as the MacBook Air did. The notebook is to be released somewhere around September/October at a price of 1000 to 1500 Dollars.
Probably the most noticable to the Fold/Unfold is the ergonomic keyboard which diagonally shifts up upon unfold. This would make typing more pleasant and ergonomically responsible, however the flatness of the keys and the spacing between them should also contribute to the comfort of the keyboard. These features make the keyboard a so called 'chiclet-keyboard' as seen on Apples current notebooks. It's still unclear if the final product will be just as thin as the Cebit prototype. At the moment the specs of the notebook are yet to be announced.
