Rumor about a new iPhone surrounds the web and some claim it will have a built-in videocamera, 7,2Mbps-hsdpa and a processor clocked at 1,2GHz. The third generation of the Apple-smartphone would appear this summer.
Ever since Apple announced a bèta version of their 3.0 versioned iPhone OS several rumors have been roaming the web about the next generation iPhones. Apearently the testsoftware reffered to a possible video upload feature and the phone's maximum downloadspeed would be dubbled to 7,2Mbps.
According to MacRumors this new iPhone will be built upon the Marvell PXA168-chipset. This new chipset Marvell announced last Janurary does it's calculations at a staggering 1,2GHz. According to Marvell this cpu would offer the same horsepower as a starters-notebook, while still maintaining a quick boot sequence. To top it off this chipset uses very little energy so it should offer enough juice for your phone. However the PXA168 specs only claim support for Windows CE and Linux, so Windows Mobile and Android are also able to run on this hardware.
Another rumorsite, Boy Genius Report, also noticed some interesting features namely a U-Verse-Application which makes it possible to remotely control a harddiskrecorder. Boy Genius also talks about an anual iPhone release in july, a new iPhone is supposed to be introduced every year. He claims he obtained his info from the guys at provider AT&T.
