Microsoft delays Windows Mobile 6.5

Microsoft has delayed the introduction of Windows Mobile 6.5. The upgrade of the mobile operating system would originally appear on the market this summer, but the release is now set for the fourth quarter of this year.

One reason for the postponement is not Microsoft: CEO Bill Koefoed reported the new release date during the conference call about the quarterly numbers of the software. "You can phones with Windows Mobile 6.5 expected from the fourth quarter of this year," says Koefoed during the discussion of the figures.
