It appears that the mysteries surrounding the T-Mobile G2 have now been cleared. Today the T-Mobile website offers a two year deal bundled with a device called the 'G2 Touch' but we all know this device as the HTC magic.

The long awaited G2 Android phone had speculations spread all around the web wondering what T-Mobile and HTC would come up with once the G2 is introduced, however some may feel disappointed in knowing that it's no more than a HTC Magic which Vodafone premiered several months ago.
Although T-Mobile USA does not refer to it as being the G2 the European website of T-Mobile is still being mysterious about the G2's appearance, at the moment they offer a 2 year partnership bundled with a phone called the 'G2 Touch' although the specs seamlessly match those of the HTC Magic so my guess is that the European G2 is no more than a Magic as well.
I can't help but feel a bit disappointed myself after seing all these community mockups and given the time between the G1's release, you'd kind of expect T-Mobile to come up with something more surprising than the plain HTC Magic, which is of course a fine piece of hardware, but not as big of a surprise as we'd hoped I guess.
