After launching the BioShock 2 teasersite some details have now started to surface. This time the player takes control of a rebelling Big Daddy and can either choose to 'harvest' or adopt Little Sisters, after which they should be escorted.

Jordan Thomas, creative director at 2K Marin has confirmed that the player in this second BioShock title will be playing as an almighty Big Daddy, which are notorious from the first BioShock game as being a quite hard to beat enemy. You are litterally 'armed' with a giant drill and are able to pickup various plasmids as you battle your way through other Big Daddy's in order to forcefully take the 'Adam' from their Little Sisters. It's also possible to adopt the Little Sisters, they will then bring you all the 'Adam' from the corpses which are spread all over throughout the game.
However there are plenty of unconfirmed details. One of which is that some say the game takes place ten years after the first game and that the player is being hunted down by a Big Sister as seen on the cover of 'Game informer-magazine'. The Big Sister was said to be the only surviving Little Sister and now roams the streets of Rapture. Also supposedly there would be more upgrades and will it become clear how and why Little Sisters are able to collect 'Adam'. BioShock will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and is to be expected somewhere along the third quarter of 2009.
